Halloween Safety Tip

In order to keep Halloween safe and fun for all, it is vital that parents not purchase any Halloween candy before the afternoon of October 31st.

For experience indicates that, otherwise, parents will eat all the candy before the big day, risking both adverse health consequences and a bunch of unhappy trick-or-treaters come Halloween.

We don't have halloween here in the Caribbean, except for at TGIFridays, Ruby Tuesdays, McDonalds, Burger King ... hell, looks like we DO have halloween!! I have this problem with the cute bowls of christmas themed candy I put out.. and then eat before even one guest arrives.......

Tsk, tsk... That's why my mom locks all the candy up.

I try to buy stuff I don't actually like. It's safer that way.

What happened to giving out apples?

This is why I try to deny the very existence of Halloween. Especially at work. For some reason, my rate of candy consumption increases tenfold when I'm sitting at my desk at work as opposed to sitting at my computer at home or watching tv at home.

No one celebrates Halloween here except for shops and we don't have Resses peanut buttercup very often either. It makes October a very dreary month....

Grr..Beta Blogger seems to have eaten some people's names. Bear with me while I try to sort out who is who.

Island Spice (I think): Yeah, but you have carnival which is way better than Halloween! :)

The Thinker (I think): But that only works if you are not the mom and do not have the key. :)

Lastonehere: I'm only at 1.5 bags. (So far.) :)

Michael C (I think): Uh-oh! Target has those super jumbo sized bags. :)

Heartinsanfrancisco: But what fun is that? :)

Odat (I think): You were smart! I am not buying anymore until Halloween!

Abbagirl74: Apples? Yuck! If word gets out you won't get any trick or treaters at all! :)

Kirsten: Same here!

Shadow Falcon: No Reese's?! That's terrible. At least you have Cadbury. :)

My spidey sense tells me you're a fellow chocoholic...I've already eaten three bags of miniatures if that makes you feel better...

Angela: Your spidey sense is correct! I only went through one bag of miniatures before I diversified to other varieties. :)
