Modern-Day Dr. Spock

Babies are far too precious to be raised without consulting the experts at every opportunity. Yet it's quite difficult to juggle a baby and look up advice in Dr. Spock's Baby and Child Care book at the same time. So this product will certainly be a welcome addition to all households with infants: clothing for tots with instructions printed right on it. How did our parents ever raise us without it?

The instructions provided on this particular style, however, probably are known to most modern parents already. Indeed, giving whiskey to babies to calm them down is rather old school and most parents now realize there are other ways that work just as well without exposing babies to such a high alcohol content.

OMG! Well, DUH........
Sorry - I'm flabbergasted that the general population seems to be "dumbing down" so much that parents need illustrated instructions!

Why bother with expensive bottles of whiskey when all you really need is a simple, affordable plastic bag?

When I was a kid, I remember Paregoric being the drug of choice for calming the little ones down. It was advertised as a diarrhea cure but it had enough opium in it to put the brakes on the occasional temper tantrum.

Michael C: Yeah, but then they'd have to look in the mirror all the time in order to remind themselves how to act. :)

Shadow Falcon: Uh-oh. I hope it's not for your hubby. ;)

T: Yet another sign of the sorry state of our educational system. ;)

Trisha: Easy in the moment, but so hard to explain afterwards. ;)

Slaghammer: I see; is that what your mommy used? Mine was partial to Benadryl. :)
