Over the River...

And through the woods, to grandmother's house we go. Oh joy!

I hate Thanksgiving. Somehow driving two hours each way - literally over the river and through the woods (on a treacherous, windy back road) to the wilds of New Hampshire - to eat turkey and hang out with the extended family is not my idea of fun.

I'll be back tomorrow evening. Not a moment too soon.

~ Happy Thanksgiving ~

and what we better be eating.

I love Thanksgiving. It's one of the least commercialized holidays we have, there's tons of great food, and my extended family is close enough for the get-togethers to actually be fun.

As far as turducken, I can't imagine something more warped. Yuck.

Happy Thanksgiving. :)

I got served 'vegetarian' stuffing once at my in-laws house cos being a vegetarian to them, meant that I didn't want the carrots, potatoes and other vegetables. The stuffing was disgusting and I tried my best to feed to the dog but even he knew to shun it.

damn smart dog...

So that's what a Turducken looks like. I always wondered.

Actually, it's kind of freaky looking, isn't it?

Hope Thanksgiving brightened up a little!
