Coca: It's What's for Dinner

Legend has it that Mother Earth provided the coca plant to the people of the Andes saying, "Guard the leaves with much love, and when you feel the sting of pain in your heart, hunger in your body, and darkness in your mind take them to your mouth and softly draw upon its spirit which is part of mine... But if your torturer, who comes from the North, the white conqueror, the gold seeker should touch it, he will find in it only...poison for his body and madness for his mind..." [The Coca Museum, La Paz, Bolivia]

Seriously though, Bolivia and other Andean countries are trying to establish a market for products made from coca leaves. I wonder if coca cookies taste good with Coca-Cola?
