Yet Another Web Poll

Because a record-breaking number of votes was cast in the most recent web poll conducted by this blog, the accounting firm of Ernst & Young was asked to validate the final vote tally.* By an overwhelming margin, the readers of this blog have proven they are forward-thinking individuals who would not stand in the way of their teen daughter's reproductive freedom. Either that or they are scared shitless of becoming grandparents before their daughter finishes high school. Either way, good, because we don't want to see more of this.

Web poll question and responses

Your 15-year-old daughter asks you for birth control. What do you do?

  • 11%--Refuse; lock her in her room until she turns 21
  • 11%--Refuse; remind her of the virtues of abstinence
  • 22%--Get it for her begrudgingly
  • 56%--Get it for her willingly

*The previous web poll garnered 6 votes; this one 9, an impressive 150% increase. Ernst & Young were asked to validate the vote tally but surprisingly declined. Nevertheless, because I have enough fingers to count to nine, the results reported here are probably correct.
