Activist street bands, or honkers, "mock and discredit the roots of hatred and injustice through the whimsical act of making music together. The result is a spectacle that is radical and subversive without being militant or sanctimonious." ~Honk! website
Radical? Subversive? No wonder it was so much fun.

I went to that last year. Very fun. Alas, yesterday I was waiting on a friend and had to miss it. Great photos.

Sassy Sundry: Somehow I missed it entirely last year; don't even remember hearing about it! At least I got in on the fun this time around.
