Pink October #5

Decisions, decisions.

Option #1 -- Do the grocery shopping at Stop & Shop. "Use your Stop & Shop card and purchase any 5 participating General Mills products in one transaction October 5 through October 11, 2007 and $1 will be donated by General Mills and Stop & Shop to the local Affiliates of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, up to a total donation of $75,000."

Option #2 -- Do the grocery sopping at Shaw's / Star Market. "Get a coupon instantly at checkout to save $5 when you buy any 10 participating General Mills products in a single visit between 10/5/07 and 10/11/07. Coupon to be used on your next store visit... General Mills will make a guaranteed donation of $10,000 to the following local affiliates of Susan G. Komen for the Cure... MA, VT, NH, ME and CT."

Option #3 -- Do the grocery shopping at Trader Joe's. Save money by not buying 5-10 General Mills products you don't need (and, let's face it, are mostly bad for you anyway). Save even more money because of Trader Joe's overall lower prices. Send a charitable donation in the amount of your savings to Susan G. Komen for the Cure (or charity of your choice). Help the cause and get a tax write-off to boot.

Option #3 sounds like a win-win to me.
